Hi, my name is Sally O'Hara (South-East & Kent) and I am your local LAR Coach.
For many years, I have been around friends and family who have suffered from OCD, panic attacks, GAD, agoraphobia and Pure O, unaware that they are symptoms of anxiety disorder.
I have been on quite a journey trying to discover why they have these symptoms and have been in search of a way to support them. I've been in touch with the Mental Health Charities who advised CBT or hypnosis, neither of which provided a solution and were often completely counter-productive. I've accompanied them to appointments at doctors where medication or CBT seemed to be the only thing on offer. In some instances medication seemed to help initially but only for a short period then all the anxiety returned. I've accompanied them on their journey, desperate to help them to find a solution only to be lead down another dead end.
For far too long, it had become the "norm" for them to live with the symptoms and for me to help out in any way I could. I have felt helpless as I could see the terrible impact it was having on lives, not just theirs but their families too. It was stopping them from going to work and having meaningful relationships and doing the everyday things that we all take for granted. It was destroying their lives.
None of my friends or family members were ever cured of these crippling symptoms and were only ever offered coping or management strategies. Surely there had to be something out there that would help. I took it upon myself to try and find a solution.
I was talking to a friend one day who told me about her partner's journey out of anxiety and crippling panic attacks using The Linden Method. He had recently trained to become a Linden Anxiety Coach. The more she described it to me the more it made sense and so I decided to do the training course myself. I recommended The Linden Method program to friends and family and realising that it had worked for them, I had total conviction in the program and decided to also train to become a LAR Coach. I am now fully qualified and able to support sufferers on their recovery journey and truly make a positive difference to people's lives. Helping them to live their lives to the full with an anxiety free future.
I also work in the Welfare Department at the homeless charity 'Crisis for Christmas' and have become increasingly aware of what a problem anxiety is in society today. I enjoy helping others and have a strong desire to make a difference.
If you are ready to start your journey to recovery, then I am ready to help you. Please don't settle for a life with anxiety when you can fully recover and be the best you can be. Please complete the form below and I will be in touch very soon.
